Montessori Education at Busy Bees Montessori Day Nursery
Our bright and spacious Montessori room provides the perfect sensory environment for children to explore and learn with freedom.
We provide an outstanding level of care and education for children, and approach each child as an individual. Our dedicated Montessori room leader works closely with the children to tailor and create a range of fun activities purposefully designed to encourage independent learning, confidence and social development.
We employ effective systems for observing and recording the progress of each child at nursery, and keep parents fully informed of their child's development, via their 'learning journey' folder and parent evenings.
We run planned Montessori sessions for all of our children as part of their early years education at Busy Bees Montessori Nursery. During each session, children have free access to an extensive range of activities and Montessori equipment and are encouraged to engage in self-selected tasks designed to stimulate their natural curiosity and aptitude for learning.
What is Montessori?
The Montessori philosophy was developed by early years educator Maria Montessori as a holistic approach towards developing a child as a whole. Fundamental to the approach is the belief that a child's early years from birth to six are the period when they have the greatest capacity to learn.
Maria Montessori saw that children learn best by doing and that happy self-motivated learners form positive images of themselves as confident, successful people. She created specially designed resources to foster independence and a love for learning from an early age.
